Sweet, versatile gelding

We are looking for a good home for our Gentle.

Gentle is an 11-year-old gelding (turning 12 in July) and is a true all-rounder. Although dressage bred, he really enjoys jumping as well as cross-country. He also loves outdoor trail rides. He has competition experience; with his previous owner, he competed in M2 dressage, 90cm jumping, and 80cm eventing, and has jumped 1.25m at home.

We have owned Gentle for a year now, but he is not reaching his full potential with us. We bought him as a schoolmaster for our 14-year-old daughter. Although he is sweet and well-behaved, he also likes to take the lead. Gentle needs a more experienced rider—a calm and confident rider who is not intimidated by him. Once that bond is established, he is a dream horse who loves to connect with you; he is very willing to work, very cuddly, and playful.

• He wears front shoes with hoof pads due to ossified hoof cartilage (sidebone).

• Dressage saddle and a nearly-new GP (versatility) saddle (both Hulsebos) are available for acquisition.
