This filly is a niece of EMERALD; in 2023, her sister was sold at the Flanders Foal Auction for €30,000.

Kitona de Magico carries the blood of her sire, the well-known Verdi (Quidam de Revel), but also possesses a rock-solid dam line through her widely known dam Tanagra S v/h Darohof. Kitona's sister, Carthina Z, who competed at 1.40m, produced more than 60 horses, including a multitude of sport horses and 8 Black types. In 2022, her foal Das Machine Equi Z was auctioned for 360,000 euros.

One of Carthina Z's most famous descendants is Diamanthina van het Ruytershof, who herself competed at 1.60m and also produced numerous sport horses performing at 1.60m level, in addition to 4 Black Types. However, Diamanthina van het Ruytershof is best known as the full sister of Emerald van het Ruytershof and as the sister of Nixon van t Meulenhof and Linnocence van t Meulenhof.
