All-rounder schoolmaster for sale

It is with a heavy heart that we offer our fantastic gelding Ipon du Roi for sale. Ipon is a 13-year-old KWPN gelding (Starpower x Chin Chin), standing 1.76 m tall and dark bay in colour.

Ipon currently jumps courses at 1.10 m and 1.20 m, but certainly has the scope to jump higher. In dressage, he has been trained to level 2, giving him a lovely foundation under saddle.

When handled, Ipon is an absolute sweetheart. He thoroughly enjoys attention, has great respect for people and is a pleasure to work with every day. He is well-behaved with the farrier, vet and physiotherapist, has no stable vices and gets along exceptionally well with other horses.

Under saddle, Ipon has a bit more blood. He will never buck or rear, but can be a little spooky. Away from home, he likes to make himself look a bit bigger to show he is there, without ever becoming naughty or difficult.

Ipon loves variety. He loves going on hacks, both in a group and alone. In a group, he walks out without any problems at the front or the back. Out on his own, he is equally well-behaved, although he still remains a little spooky now and then.

He loads without any issues onto all types of transport, such as a horse trailer, horse lorry or van.

We would love to see Ipon go to a rider making the transition from pony to horse or to someone who wants to compete, but is mainly looking for a reliable and versatile horse to have a lot of fun with together.

The only reason for sale is our complete switch to dressage. Ipon thoroughly enjoys jumping and deserves a rider who will let him continue to shine in that sphere.
