Harms Lightfeet (Harley) – you can't teach quality

You can help a combination grow together. But power, technique and carefulness must be naturally present. Harley has them.

Harms Lightfeet, call name Harley, is an 8-year-old Welsh pony of 1.48 m with exceptional jumping quality. A stunning sport pony with power, superb technique and the carefulness you love to see in a pony with which a young rider wants to progress in the sport.

That Harley possesses special talent was recognized early on. As a three-year-old, during the Central Stallion Approval of the NWPCS, he was selected in the second viewing and designated for the performance test, in which, among other things, the natural sport aptitude, jumping aptitude and character of the stallions are assessed.

Since his fourth year of life, Harley has been stabled with us. All those years he has been exclusively ridden by our daughter and carefully trained under the professional guidance of Johan Laseur. We therefore know him inside out.

Meanwhile, Harley has achieved 14 prize points in the 1.00 m and is making his debut in the 1.10 m. He has more than enough power for this level and clearly shows that his capabilities reach further. Our daughter would have loved to bring him on further herself towards the 1.20 m and beyond. Due to her transition to horses, the time has now come for Harley to continue with a new rider.

Harley jumps with great use of his body, is careful at the jump and thinks along with his rider. He has enormously much power and is not the type of pony that needs to go faster to jump higher. His quality lies in his technique, strength and way of jumping.

But for us, quality alone is not enough.

The pony you let your son or daughter get on must also be reliable and safe. Exactly in this Harley has been so valuable to us over the past years. He has a soft and friendly character and will not just run, buck or rear. He is careful with himself and with his rider.

Harley is not a beginner pony. He fits best with an ambitious young rider with the necessary experience and a calm, soft hand. With such a rider he gives confidence and his quality comes into its own completely.

At home Harley is also an extremely nice pony. He has no stable vices, is easy in daily handling and is completely part of family life with us. Small children, dogs, cats, traffic or a driving-by loader: he knows it all. He is well socialized and stands daily without problems with other ponies in the paddock or in the pasture.

And then his appearance. Harley is a pony you keep looking at. Exceptionally well built, a beautiful muscular neck and enormously much presence. A pony with which you proudly ride into the ring.

We sell Harley exclusively because of our daughter's transition to horses. We are therefore in no hurry and are mainly looking for the right new combination and an involved family that gives him the opportunity to further utilize his sporting capabilities.

For an ambitious young rider who is not only looking for a good 1.10 m pony, but a pony with the quality to grow further, Harley is absolutely worth viewing.
