Harms Lightfeet (Harley) – exceptional Welsh D sport pony with scope, technique and character

It is with a heavy heart that we offer our special D-pony Harms Lightfeet, stable name Harley, for sale due to our daughter's transition to horses.

Harley is an 8-year-old Welsh pony measuring 1,48 m who has everything we look for in a good sport pony: exceptional jumping scope, sublime technique, carefulness, a reliable character and a stunning appearance.

Harley has been with us since he was four years old and has been ridden exclusively by our daughter all these years. His training has been built up carefully and with great patience, under the professional guidance of Johan Laseur. Because of this, we know Harley through and through and we know precisely what kind of pony we are offering.

Harley's jumping quality stood out at a young age already. As a three-year-old he was selected during the Central Stallion Grading of the NWPCS in the second viewing and designated for the performance test, in which, among other things, the natural sport aptitude, jumping aptitude and character of the stallions are assessed. His talent as a jumper pony was thus recognized early on.

Currently, Harley is making his debut at 1.10 m. He possesses more than enough scope for this level and clearly shows that his capabilities reach further. Our daughter would have loved to continue training him over the coming years towards 1.20 m and beyond, but because of her transition to horses, they unfortunately no longer have the time together to complete that trajectory.

Harley possesses an enormous amount of scope and a very good jumping technique. He jumps with a lot of use of his body, is careful over the fence and thinks along with his rider. This makes him exceptionally interesting for an ambitious rider who already has the necessary experience and is looking for a pony to continue growing with in the sport.

What makes Harley extra special to us is that his sporting qualities go hand in hand with reliability and safety. He has a soft and friendly character and will not just run off, buck or rear. Harley does need a rider with some experience and a calm, soft hand. With such a rider, he gives a lot of confidence and shows how much quality he has in store.

Outside of riding, Harley is also an incredibly nice pony. He is easy in daily handling, has no stable vices and is fully part of family life with us. He is used to small children, dogs and cats, as well as traffic and, for instance, a passing shovel loader. He is well socialised and spends his days turned out in the paddock or pasture together with other ponies.

And then his looks: Harley is not only a fantastic jumping pony, he is also drop-dead gorgeous. He is exceptionally well built, has a lot of presence and a beautiful, strongly muscled neck. A pony that immediately catches the eye and that you can ride into the ring with pride.

We are not looking for a quick sale for Harley, but primarily a matching new combination and a good home. Most preferably we see him end up with an ambitious young rider and an involved family who appreciates his qualities and gives him the opportunity to develop further in the sport.

For the right rider, Harley is a pony with everything in store to look forward to many wonderful sporting years.
