The most well-behaved 12-year-old showjumping C-pony mare

It is with a heavy heart that we offer our wonderful pony Mary, call name Spetter, for sale. Spetter is a 12-year-old Irish Sports Pony mare, born on 01-01-2014, and has been in our possession for over three years. Over those years she has proven herself to be a reliable, honest and incredibly sweet pony suitable for both a less experienced rider and an ambitious combination.

Spetter is truly the most well-behaved pony you could wish for. She is calm to handle, hardly bats an eyelid at anything and will not just run away or make strange jumps. A young child can ride her with peace of mind. Alone to the woods? No problem. She remains level-headed and reliable.

Showjumping is truly her favourite part and she excels in it. She currently jumps courses of 80-90 cm at home and has regularly run courses of 1.00 meter. Her personal showjumping record is even at 1.10 meter.

At competition she is currently shown at 70 cm level, where she has already won prizes multiple times. Under the saddle she is a real automatic pilot when jumping. She thinks along with her rider, ensures she gets the distance right to the jump and will rather make an extra stride or jump a bit wider than make a mistake.

Although her heart lies mainly with showjumping, Spetter can also be ridden neatly in dressage. She performs her exercises obediently and is nice to ride, but it is clear that she has more fun in a showjumping course.

Over the past three years Spetter has always been treated and cared for with great care:

• Checked annually by the equine dentist; never any issues.
• Treated and checked annually by the osteopath.
• Saddles checked annually for fit.
• Neatly to the farrier every 8 weeks.
• Fully clinically inspected in 2023.
• Always neatly maintained in terms of health and welfare.

Trailer loading Spetter does well. She sometimes needs a little encouragement, but remains calm and reliable. On a horse lorry she walks on independently without any problems.

Re-inspection is of course allowed, inspection costs for the buyer.
