All-round pony, Gelding, 4 years

Dangereux van de Bosakkerhoeve

Dangereux is a 4.5-year-old, bay medium D-pony (gelding) measuring approximately 142 cm (not yet officially measured). A talented, showjumping-bred sport pony from our own breeding programme, meaning his complete history is known since birth.

His name might suggest otherwise, but Dangereux is anything but dangerous. On the contrary! He is as honest as the day is long, incredibly willing to work and never puts a foot wrong. Though we have to admit he will become dangerous later on... for the competition! 😉

For a little under a year, Dangereux has been systematically trained. We deliberately chose a calm progression, meaning he does not have that many miles on the clock yet. Despite taking it easy, he learns very quickly and is already quite advanced in his training. Moreover, he has passed every step of his training with flying colours!

Well-behaved during transport and has already been taken away to new locations.
Easily jumps a small course of about 70 cm.
Walks nicely in dressage, is soft in the mouth, responsive to the aids and very easy to ride.
Enjoys going out for hacks. Is not spooky or afraid.
Well-behaved with farrier and vet.

In the stable he stays inside at night and during the day he enjoys life in a herd of over 20 horses. He behaves impeccably there too: not dominant at all, careful and social.

Under the saddle, his reliability and willingness to work are particularly striking. Dangereux is definitely not a spooky or flighty type and has particularly expansive and fluid movements. Thanks to his work ethic, attitude and natural aptitude, we see possibilities for him in various disciplines. Dressage, showjumping and eventing are all possibilities.

An interesting pedigree!

His sire is the well-known Welsh sport pony stallion Machno Carwyn, two-time individual European showjumping champion.

Dangereux also has a special pedigree on his dam's side. His dam Anna-Belle is an Arabian mare who was owned by us for years. Through his grandsire Haya at Ibn Hadiya he traces back to the Straight Egyptian Arabian stallion Ansata Selman. Additionally, in his damline we find Hadiya Al Zamet, Ybar-Ro and Emirat Alice, among others.

A lovely combination of the showjumping-oriented Welsh blood of his sire and the Arabian elegance and refinement on his dam's side.

His full brother, the stallion Vrede Van De Bosakkerhoeve, has meanwhile been sold to China.

A small note: Dangereux has sweet itch, which is currently easily kept under control with his eczema rug.

In short: an honest, uncomplicated and talented young sport pony with a fantastic attitude, a great foundation and a whole future ahead of him.

A pony we confidently see growing into a fine sport partner for someone who wants to write a wonderful story together with him!
