This handsome, temperamental gray is a real eye-catcher. At just 6 years old, he has already achieved several achievements in various disciplines.
Cas has been with us since he was 3 years old. We gave him time to grow and only took him to a dressage competition when he was 5. He has now successfully completed 3 classes in this and I have not yet promoted him to Z due to his age and growth. However, I am already working on substitutions and work pirots in a playful manner and he is picking this up very well. Cas is a nice mover, with nice spacious gaits: he is not a scribbler. Cas has a very good walk, a wide trot and a very comfortable canter!
In addition to dressage, I also started jumping at the beginning of this year, which he does great on his own way. Because he would like to get over it, he also picked up eventing in a playful manner. This year we had a wonderful season with various rankings, 15 victory points in class B and already 2 in class L! We are also ranked 100th in jumping.
Cas is uncomplicated to handle: he is very social and playful with other horses, you can safely handle him with several horses at the same time. can only be loaded and unloaded on the cart, the farrier can manage on his own and does not bite or hit. Despite this, it is not suitable for inexperienced riders: it is and remains a PRE and therefore has this sensitive character. An experienced rider will also have to ride carefully and with feeling and preferably has experience with this distinctive breed.
He is no longer on shoes with us. . We made that choice for practical reasons: we did not think it was necessary to keep a 3-year-old horse on shoes. When I started competing, I rode almost exclusively on sand and the odd race on grass didn’t seem to be a problem. We also compete in eventing competitions barefoot, without any problems. He has beautiful, hard hooves and due to his fairly straight gait they do not wear excessively diagonally.
Why am I selling this great horse? I make this choice with pain in my heart, but I have to be honest with myself: I notice more and more that my disability is becoming increasingly difficult for me. Unfortunately, I have contracted a double bone infection in my foot, and I am simply overdoing myself. It hurts to realize this, but I hope that I can make someone else at least as happy with him as he has given us!
It goes without saying that Cas has received all the care that is minimally desirable for his health. This includes the correct method of grafting, periodic maintenance of physio and farrier, a clean stable and training tailored to age and growth.
We are between companies We have also been busy with WE, but due to lack of time and experience we have not gone very far with this. For example, he already understands walking across a beam and driving with a short stick.
When purchased in 2021, Cas was inspected, both clinically and radiologically, and was excellent. No lameness or diseases have occurred during our ownership and we are therefore confident that he is in the good health of a sport horse. Examination is of course permitted, by a doctor of your choice at your own expense.
