Delano is a very sweet pony who needs a rider who is confident. He is sometimes a bit insecure, but there is really nothing mean about it and so he sometimes needs some extra confidence. He enjoys jumping the most and will therefore complete the course with great conviction. He easily jumps a 1.00 course in training, but there is certainly more to it, he also jumps changes easily. At IICH Groningen he came 3rd in the 80D/E.
He does dressage very well, but you notice that he enjoys it less, but he will always do his test neatly. Delano has run twice at the Groningen championships in the B reserve champion and in the L2 a 4th place, he is currently classified M1. It can be ridden alone or with a group and is not suitable for heavy traffic.
We are looking for a perfect match for him where he can preferably stand outside 24/7 with an ambitious rider who can continue to ride him in the sport. We bought him in 2018 as a 3-year-old and was fully trained by 1 person.
Delano is good on shoes and is good with farriers. It has not been inspected, but of course it is allowed.
