How reviews work
- Only logged-in members can write a review, about a seller with whom contact was recorded through SportHorses.co.uk: a message, a click on the phone number or a sale. We check an experience outside the platform ourselves first.
- The type of experience (had contact, viewed a horse, bought a horse) is stated by the writer. Only a verified purchase has been checked.
- A verified purchase means that buyer and seller each confirmed the sale independently, or that we checked the sale ourselves. The seller's word alone is never enough.
- We check every review before it appears, positive and negative alike. We only reject or remove what breaks our rules, never because it is negative.
- A seller cannot remove or hide individual reviews. They can only hide all reviews at once.
- The score is the average of all published reviews, and each review counts once. Criteria that do not apply are not counted. We round to one decimal.
- Reviews are only visible while the seller has an active Plus or Premium subscription. After that they are kept, and they become visible again on renewal.
- Anyone who is signed in can report a review or a reply. A report removes nothing by itself: we look at it first.
- Reviews in another language are translated automatically. You can always read the original text.
